The 2008 H2 SUT is a 4-door, 5-passenger luxury pickup, available in 3 trims, ranging from the Base to the Luxury.
Upon introduction, both trims are equipped with a standard 6.2-liter, V8, 393-horsepower engine. A 6-speed automatic transmission with overdrive is standard.
I guess up to a year ago or so, i was an avowed disliker of the humm... big ugly truck. While car shopping for something really nice (for me), i drove cars upon cars... but never an H2. Finally, the local dealer (also sells caddy, love the new V cars) coaxed me into taking one for a spin. After getting over the surprise of how comfy the seat was, how easily it drove for its size, how quiet when driven smooth, and how superb the ride was... i couldn't really consider anything else. This big old truck rides like a lux SUV - a really good lux SUV. The front seats are a complete masterpiece.
The cost of mine includes having the exterior trim painted, every factory option available, and a considerable dose of accessories just for fun.
Even in stock form, this thing draws more attention than a porsche, any mercedes or beemer. Maybe a glow-in-the-dark ferarri would attract more, but until i run into one, i can't be sure. If attention isn't your thing, then that is something to consider.
After having the vehicle for some time, i like it even more. If you think you want an H2, you do.
I gave it a 5 star value despite its high cost because you'd have to spend soooooooooo much more to get anything with as many pluses, or even close.
Strengths: Interior comfort, ride quality, styling, quiet when driven civilized, very capable when driven in uncivilized terrain, draws ALOT of attention, cool, my son loves it, everybody that rides in it wants to ride in it again.
Versatility is this vehicles ultimate attribute. I can take my parents for a sight seeing cruise, and the H2 is ideal for that purpose. I can take my son out with his friends, and you can fit quite a few of them. I could go cruise the strip and it would only out-shine the various tuner cars and sports cars. It is comfy at valet-parking only restaurants, and you can drive it through a rocky muddy field if you have the urge for that. The comfort makes it great for longer trips as well.
Not only can it go those places... it's almost in its ideal element in each of those very different situations. It is the most desirable vehicle anywhere near its price point, or even at or around $100k.
Weaknesses: Bose system isn't what i'd call great, interior could use a little dressing-up. Mileage obviously isn't fantastic, but it's not that bad at 11 or 12 city and 14 highway. Better than my full sized pickup.

Summary: Perfect ride- everything I imagined it to be. As far as the above negative review it certainly appears as this individual has either emotional stability issues or is extremely insecure. No vehicle is like the H2- It rides like a Mercedes with offroad capabilities second to none.
Strengths: everything from it's catchy looks and stunning image to it's niche as being the premier ride which many will envy you for.
Weaknesses: Gas mileage, not nearly as bad as many proclaim other than it's critics who can't afford one. Ignorance and stupidity should be taken with a grain of salt.

Summary: The H3 is great! It is a sturdy, yet luxurious SUV that appears larger than it really is due to its boxy design. The nicest feature is that it really turns on a dime. The turning radius is unusually tight which makes parking lot driving very easy. The interior is very nice and the layout of the dash makes sense. The ride is firm and sturdy, but still comfortable. The gas mileage is decent as is the pick up. It's not a sports car, but certainly moves you around nicely. I LOVE it! It literally turns heads....everybody looks when you drive by. You can see out the rear window just fine...just takes a little getting used to. The rear tail gate is easy to open and takes just s little muscle to close...no problem at all.
Strengths: Great SUV. Unique styling. Cool.
Weaknesses: The gear shifter takes up too much room, which doesn't leave enough room for storage space for your wallet, cell phone, sun glasses etc...There are only 2 cup holders...not the end of the world. Also, the drivers side power window controls are set back a little too far, but again, you get used to it after a short time.

$57000.00
from Long Hummer
Year / Model Reviewed: 2005 H2
Summary: I traded my H1 diesel for this H2 and I love this truck! Been driving for 14 months and no problems rock solid, I also had Infiniti 2005 QX56 truck that couldn't stand up to the roads of New England. It was, in and out of the dealership every other week. I finally sold it for 12,000. less than I paid just to dump the headache. The H2 grows on you, the more you drive this rig the more it grows on you. I really laugh at all the clowns that are concerned with how much it cost to fill or how many miles per gallon. Then when I tell them 12mpg city and highway at 60mph I get 18mpg. They are so amazed, I tell them mpg in this truck is great compared to my old Range Rover 9mpg or other cars I owned. New England just had some of the worst rain we seen in many years and I wanted to put sign on my truck that read "How much do you like your Honda Now?" Or maybe create a website of all us H2 owners running out there with our digital cameras giving every little car stuck in the mud or flood water the finger and post who the stupid one now, oh by the way change your pants there wet!!! I drove my H2 like just any other day and the only comments I heard that week were, Man, thats the perfect vechicle for these conditions!! I told them even better on a sunny day!! The first thing people say when riding in my H2 is wow how smooth it drives and it has great pickup, people who write stating how sluggish there truck is, don't own this truck or should call the dealership to get the motor checked!! The truck has a great look and ammenities are great, really H2 Hummers are awesome!!
Strengths: Very dependable, lacks nothing!!
Weaknesses: read above
