Price Paid:  $19000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2005 Dodge Stratus SXT

Summary:
I bought this black SXT with a sunroof brand new in May 2005. It's got about 45,000 miles on it now. Overall, I love look and the ride of the car. I get compliments all of the time about how nice it looks, and people don't realize that it's a stratus! I've only had a few minor problems with the CD changer, sunroof, and dashboard (see below). I bought the first set of new tires for it about 6 months ago (probably around 38,000 miles) and I just replaced the brakes for the first time last week (about 45,0000 miles).

Strengths:
It has a nice stock stereo system with 4 disc CD changer (although I added 2 MTX 10's to add some extra boom). The ride looks nice and sporty. It gets ok gas mileage, but I went from driving a Ford Escort ZX2 which got REALLY good gas mileage to the Stratus. I think it gets about 22 MPG. The backseat has attachments for a baby carseat (although I've never used it). I've had no major problems with the engine, transmission, etc. yet!

Weaknesses:
The dealership changed out the front dashboard after only 2 years; it had started to warp from the heat (this was covered under my warranty)! The cd's in the CD changer get stuck, so I got a new one (this was covered under my warranty up until 36,000 miles. Now my cds are getting stuck again and the extended warranty does not cover this). My sunroof gets stuck when it tries to pop up. I have to manually push on it with my hand in order for it to "tilt" or pop open. So, the warranty covered replacing the motor. Then, the dealership realized that it's a problem with a lot of dodge vehicles with the rubber sticking together. So, I'm still dealing with a sticking sunroof. Another minor downfall, is that it's kind of hard to get in and out of sometimes because it is low to the ground.

Year / Model Reviewed:
2005 Dodge Stratus SXT

Summary:
The car is very nice I bought it with 17,000 miles in 2006 and now it has 46,000 miles and I have not had any problems with it. The car handles the road very well highway or city. I drive about 300+ miles a week with it and it's Great. I get about 250-330 miles to the tank.I put the Bosch Platnium +4s in and that increased gas mileage and Performance. I have had to replace the front headlights twice in six months ,and some other ligths. other than that its great. Good for familys, young people .

Strengths:
Good handling, Family/Sporty , good on gas,Roomy, and not real expensive

Weaknesses:
Some electrical problems, faster if you add thoughs plugs.
