Review 1 of 53

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Dealer

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Dodge Durango SLT

Summary:
After readings these reviews, I was a little suprised... although these aren't the best "off-road" tires, they definately give you the mileage. I have over 95,000 miles and am finally trading them in for a new set (of the same tires). As with any product you have to trade-off some strengths and these are definately a "commuter" tire.

Strengths:
Long Lasting tread - good commuter tire

Weaknesses:
Off-road, snow and ice

Review 2 of 53

Price Paid:  $0.00 from Dodge Dealer

Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 Wrangler RTS

Summary:
These were original on my 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 extended cab 4X4. After two years I had a sidewall bulge failure, Thought was just bad kuck, replaced the tire as the rest were good. before the tires were half way through life, steell belts were visible in the tread grooves leading to tread separation in two. The other two were OK so like a dope I bought two more after another 18 months a service guy at a tire dealer was walking by the truck and noticed the steel belts had separated and were sticking out of the side wall of one tire and BOTH that one and the one on the other side had severe tread separation. One was noticeably lop sided. I replaced all of them on the spot. Not worth my family's lives to run the rest for the remaining 70% of their tread life. I stick to the speed limit mostly and had not carried any heavy loads. You aren't going to want much load in my 1/2 ton 4x4 at highway speed anyway. Overall wet traction was poor and snow traction was so/so but the ride was smooth balloon like cushiony compared to the load range D tires I was used to on my old 3/4 ton GM truck.

Strengths:
Smooth ride

Weaknesses:
Dangerous tread and belt separations. Possibly missing rubber layers over steel belts?

Review 3 of 53

Price Paid:  $28000.00 from Beach Ford

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac

Summary:
My truck came with Goodyear Wrangler RTS tires. I only have 19000 miles on them and it sounds like my front end is coming apart when I drive. The dealership says all 4 tires have flat spots. This is not possible when a vehicle is driven every day unless the tires are faulty. Ford says they are not under warranty and won't replace. I expected more from a tire with the name Goodyear on it. I will purchase Michelin when I replace.

Strengths:
Good tread wear. Tires look almost new.

Weaknesses:
Terrible in the rain. Horrible road noise! It's like noise torture. Rides rough.

Similar Products Used:
Had Michelin tires previously and will return to Michelin tires.

Review 4 of 53

Price Paid:  $0.00 from came with SUV

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Dodge Durango

Summary:
I was actually pretty pleased with the tread wear I have about 40k miles and they are looking like they need replaced although we have noticed some unusual flat spots on two of the tires. My biggest gripe is about the handling or lack there of in the rain,, I was blaming it on my Durango and my family was blaming it on my "lead foot" but reading the other reviews I think I'll get a different tire.

Strengths:
decent tread life

Weaknesses:
very slick on wet pavement

Review 5 of 53

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2003 Wrangler RT/S

Summary:
I have read some of the reviews on this tire and just can't understand why they aren't better. I do agree that they ride a little rough and don't do too well in snow and ice. However I am very pleased with the milage I'm getting. My truck is a 2003 Ford Ranger with over 97,000 miles on it and these are the same tires that came on the truck brand new. I don't think I'm going to have any trouble goinng a 100,000 because the tread is still pretty good. I've never got this kind of milage out of any tire. In fact I've always been satisfied if I could get 50,000 miles out of a set of tires. Most of my friends are amazed as I am, but I think some folks just don't believe it. But that's ok with me, because I know it's true and I also know that my next set of tires will be Goodyear Wrangler RT/S. I'd sure like to know if anyone else has gotten this kind of milage out of their tires.

Strengths:
Milage

Weaknesses:
traction in ice or snow isn't too good.
