from ebay Year / Model Reviewed: 2003 S12L7 Summary: Alright, I've had 2 of these for about a week now in a 1 cu.ft. box each with about 40% polyfill. OK. Everyone keeps stating that these need mad power but that's not necesarily true. I had them hooked to a JL 1000/1 and I think the amp was too much for the subs. It was the most impressive bass I've ever heard from such a small box ever! But, don't fear! Due to a baby on the way I had to sell the 1000/1 and all I have sitting arount to push them is an old Sony XM-972X wich is rated at 300 watts at 2 ohms bridged. I have them a 4 ohms and They still deliver enought to rattle my truck! The best part is that they still have 1 more week of break-in time so it can only better. The raw power of these subs deducts a few points from the SQ which is a big deal to me but I can live with it. If you have the money, I'd definitely give these monsters a try! Strengths: HUGE Bass - almost violent
Killer looks
Massive RMS
Could be the loudest small box sub ever
Even better on a larger ported box
Don't need massive amounts of power to
get moving
They don't distort, so it's hard to tell if you are pushing them too hard Weaknesses: If you build or modify a custom fit box and decide they are not for you, the box is worthless
Not the best sound quality Similar Products Used: Audiobahn Flame Q 12's (OK, but don't come close)
Audiobahn Natural Sound 10's (If you're broke, these little cheap puppies slam)
Audiobahn ALUM12's (Great SQ, minimal punch)
