2005 GT120 Summary:
Chose this sub over a few others due to its high sensitivity, 93db. As compared to the JL sub of the same size (88db) this sub will go almost four times as loud with the same power! I am using a small alpine amp (60W x 2) bridged into the sub, and get deep satisfying base. The sub enclosure is sealed, 1ft3, and stuffed with fiberfill.
Since I am only throwing a maximum of just over 200 watts at this sub, I cannot comment on the SPL achievable. However, the sub gives clean clear base for a variety of sources, from percussion to base guitars. I would recommend it. Strengths:
Excellent efficiency, does more with less power. Weaknesses:
Don't like terminal mounting tabs. Would have preferred a mounting post or other more robust wire attachment points.
