Review 1 of 108

Price Paid:  $100.00 from the Zeb

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 AW1200X

Summary:
I just got these subs after reading many reviews and being dissatisfied with the performance of my previous Orion Cobalt drivers. All I can say is that they are every bit as good as people make them sound on this forum. They are massive speakers, have a huge surround, and seem to have an unbounded capacity for low frequency output. I would buy these speakers again, and thank you to everybody that let me know about them on this forum!

Strengths:
Powerful output without distortion, Gets stronger with lower and lower bass, more impressive output and overall performance than the Vega 12", and will definately crush any little Mtx or low end Rockford that is in the same price range. Can't say enough...

Weaknesses:
Only owned these subs for a few days, but no weaknesses so far!

Similar Products Used:
None of the following even compared with the AW1200: Vega 12", Orion Cobalt, Mtx Thunder series, Pioneer IMPP's, Audiobahn Alum-12

Review 2 of 108

Price Paid:  $215.00 from eBaY

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 AUDIOBAHN A1200Q HIGH EXC.

Summary:
i bought these and could not afford the amp right away so i hooked them up to a kenwood 460 rms amp to break them in. They are barely moving and theyre pretty loud already. Im waiting on a A2200hct 1600 watt audiobahn amp. If anyone has heard how 2 of these subs sound in a slot port box please leave a review.

Strengths:
high power handling smooth, strong lows

Weaknesses:
power-hungry but you shouldnt have to worry about that if your amp is solid

Similar Products Used:
2 12in Pb subs - kenwood 460x1 4 12in RF he subs - punch 801s

Review 3 of 108

Price Paid:  $100.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Audiobahn 1200q

Summary:
These subs are made for bass, but nothing else. They will shake the hell out of your car, but the sound quality is terrible. 50 square feet of dynamat in the truck of my 1995 Chevy Beretta did nothing to stop the rattles. That's how hard these things hit. I blew my Rockford amp so I got a cheap Legacy amp for now. It only puts out 75w RMS and this sub still hits hard enough to rattle everything in my car.

Strengths:
Extremely powerful Handles all 700 watts RMS, and then some. Relatively small box needed if it's sealed Very durable. I didn't even break these in before I put 800w RMS to them and they didn't blow. Priced cheap if you look around.

Weaknesses:
Sloppy bass at medium volumes. Pretty much requires a ported box if you want seriously loud bass. No SQ at all.

Similar Products Used:
Jensen, RF, Infinity 1220 (best sub I have ever owned), SPL (crap)

Review 4 of 108

Price Paid:  $200.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002

Summary:
I got 2 of these for 200$ shipped. I have them in a 1.25cubic foot box made out of 3/4 inch plexiglass sealed box. I am running a lanzar D2000M rack mount sub amp to them. Now the subs used to have a audiobahn 2000watt mono block amp, and these subs hit really hard. I fried the amp and bought this lanzar, and it shocked me, i bought the amp untill i get the audiobahn repaird, but no way will i change it around. This amp and these subs hit Fuc*ing hard in my Crx. The box helped out a lot as well because a buddy of mine has the same subs in a MDF box and we put it in my car with the amp and it didn't hit nearly as hard.

Strengths:
The subs will rock the piss out of you car if you hook them up right. They are very very picky when it comes to a box (think someone said that already) but when you get it right you won't be dissapointed. Chrome looks good with blue neon's and a clear box, a big double/triple take box setup.

Weaknesses:
They require a perfect box to get the midbass and higher freq. just right. But nothing to hard to figure out. They do take a little more power than i would like but i have a optima deep cycle battery and a stinger 250amp isolater, and i get no dimming no matter how hard i push these subs. not a true SPL sub, more for bass heads who want good clean sound as well.

Similar Products Used:
I have used sooo many subs its sick. These arn't my fav subs ever, but will definatly hold up the the compition.
