Strength:

Clean smooth and accurate. They will let you hear what you want without the harshness of othe high end brands.

Weakness:

They are high dollar High End Speakers and they will cause you to spend more on the rest of your system to match their quality. Could bring the price down a tiny bit.

The single best componet set bar none. So, so clean. Installed in our 2K Expedition in all the doors after my MB Quarts and Focals where borrowed without my permission. I was mad as hell but they did me a favor now that I look back at how the situation turned out. If you are serious about your sound system you can not go wrong with these.

Simply put:

These are the speakers you will take out of the vehicle when you sell it.

Strength:

Accuracy. Dynamics. Phase coherency. Tweeters are smooth, yet open and non-fatiguing. Mid bass is tight and detailed.

Weakness:

None.

Awesome speakers! I'm a professional music producer and audio engineer so a component's accuracy is the most important factor in my purchasing decisions. I bought these speakers as part of a "rolling reference" system and find that as far as car audio goes, they faithfully reproduce what I hear from studio monitors costing literally thousands of dollars more. I spend my days inside professional recording studios and these speakers seem to impress even the most seasoned of industry veterans. They are tonally and dynamically accurate, exhibit excellent transient response and are extremely phase coherent. Installed in conjunction with other quality components they will satisfy the most critical of listeners. Highly recommended.

Strength:

Tight, quick mid-bass; Neutral speakers that will let you hear all the detail of a recording; great transition between mid-bass and tweets.

Weakness:

The revealing nature of these speakers make poor recordings sound really poor; the tweeters can get bright if not setup properly; you NEED subwoofer with this system - a good one.

I looked around for a high end set of components for about 3 months before committing to the Dyns. The stand out as being among the most neutral speakers I;ve ever heard, but because of their neutral "revealing" nature, you're going to hear the flaws in every CD you own, and this may get annoying. I find that these speakers *really* shine with Jazz, Pop, really well mixed Alt. Rock, really well mixed Punk, and Classical music. Very hard rock and metal are usually poorly mixed and all the flaws in those recordings come through with these. The mid-bass is tight and quick, and the speakers transition well.

Strength:

Smooth highs.....solid midbass...natural sound reproduction....best car speakers I've ever owned so far

Weakness:

Require tons of power to make them sound really great(although even 75 watt is okay). The stock dyns x-over is not that good in my opinion, I have upgraded to a custom passive x-over.

When I first purchased these speakers, I gave each side around 75watt rms (from an xtant x604) and it sounded clear, and goes reasonbly loud as well. But after some advice, I decided to run the frontstage bridged to give each side 300 watt rms. And wow, what a noticable improvement in SQ. If you rewally want to get the best out of your dyns, you should give them plenty of power. Also, it is important to sound deadened your doors too.

Strength:

These are probably the best speakers you can buy. Comparing to focals, which I had previously sought after, these blow 'em away on bass and smoothness.

Weakness:

Needs a lot of prep to install( door deadening). Needs high end equipment to run. If you have a sony headunit or kenwood amp, upgrade those first. And also needs minimum 100 watts rms to run to it's optimal running capability.

Prior to installing the speakers I sound deadened the door. This was a story on its own. Anyway back to the subject, these speakers are simply awesome. The bass is tight, accurate, and hits hard. At first when I took a look at these I was kind of skeptical about their ability. But when I installed them... WOW! These speakers have a lot of potential. Right now they're untuned without an EQ, but they still sound awesome. The melodies are where they should be. Drums in the back, vocals up front, guitar behind the vocals, chimes in the backround, bass in the back. Accompanied with this set is the silk dome tweeters, which complement the woofer very well.

Strength:

Vocal Clarity. Versatility. Very solid, tight & strong upfront bass.

Weakness:

Others who had owned metallic/titanium tweets such as MBQuarts may need time to adjust to the MD100 tweets. May appear not as dynamic in the beginning stages if you are used to those MBQuart type-of tweets. Highly Subjective though. Remember this, it does take time to fall in love with your dynas...but once you begin doing that, you will find yourself falling madly in love with them and my guess is that you'll probably be sticking to them for the rest of your life (macham like getting married like that...heheheh...) All the Best. Other drawbacks include relly difficult installation. If you are buying these, make sure you know where to put the tweets first. Flush mount on dash is almost impossible and aesthically dospleasing. You may want to try the A Pillar or on the "triangular black thing" next to your side mirrors. What do u call that huh :P Also, the 7" drivers could be hard to install. Make sure you haf an idea of how to install first before deciding to purchase.

Unsurpassed Vocal Clarity. Frankly, I've never heard any other speaker that is more outstanding in the area of vocals than the Dynas. The music and voices you hear from them is amazingly transparent, smooth, detailed, clear and musical. And that is not forgetting the powerful bass upfront that u will experience with those monsterous 7"s. Ever heard bass that 'kicks' upfront? If not, then you had better try this one. I bet you'll never want to try something else again. In addition, the Dynas are also very versatile speakers too...So if you are into a variety of music such as pop, blues, jazz, dance..etc there's probably no other speakers that plays such a wide combination so marvellously. But i didn't really like it for classical pieces though. Has been wondering if it could be due to my own tuning? :P

Strength:

- Mid-bass is amazing, but needs to have plenty of juice to do so. - Sound is so clear, defined, balanced and spot on. - Laps up the extra power you give. - 240 GT system is very friendly as the mid is only 6.5" and requires no door modding to my car. Despite the size, dont let it fool you... it HAMMERS. :)

Weakness:

- Needs power and plenty of it! :O - Needs a hardcore class A amp to make it sound like it was intended to. But these arent really bad points, its obvious you need an awersome amp to match an awersome component system!

Using a 12" Earthquake Magma really destroyed my factory front stage, so I hunted some high end componenet speakers. In the end it was down to focal or dynaudio. Focals mid bass was a tad louder, but the Dynaudios were more accurate and spot on. I prefer spot on, clean sound. I use an Audison VR-X.2.250 Amp to power them, giving each 160 Watts RMS. And they love that huge amount of extra power, no signs of distortion, wearing, etc. The Audison + Dynaudio combination is definately Audio Pleasure! I definitely recommend!

Strength:

Good bass, not great but better than average, definitely blends with the subs and brings the bass upfront.

Weakness:

Nothing worth mentioning besides the price.

I only bought these "high end" speakers because I got a great deal on them. I was running MB Quart PSC 216's and wasnt to happy with the midbass (until I found out an extra 70watts makes a huge difference :)) but anyway I got these speakers and I would have to say while they are a definite improvement over the MB Quarts ($200) I would not pay over $350 for these speakers, because to me the difference isnt worth the extra money. I also know your suppose to be running more highend equipment with these and that the install counts for a lot, and for the most part I got those taken care of, but I am still playing around with the setup and tuning.
