Expert Rating: 4.25 stars

"For a car that's under $30k, and for the 5-star safety ratings on everything BUT rollover (4 stars), this car is a really, really good deal. It's nice to look at. Fun to drive. It has a navigation system, XM® Satellite Radio, cruise control, back-up assist camera, 6-CD changer, single CD hidden behind the navigation system screen, leather interior, heated seats, power moon-roof, safety everything, AND it's easy on the pocketbook. It's a no brainer - a great value for a great vehicle!"

Price Paid:  $22000.00 from Motorworld

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 Honda CRV EX

Summary:
I absolutely love this little SUV! It's so much fun to drive and just an all around great car. I love the exterior as well as the interior - so classy! It looks as if it costs far more than it actually does.

Strengths:
Everything! It's so cute! I love the features it has. There are so many. Plus, it's a Honda - you can't beat that. The 6 disc CD changer is great. I also love how you can monitor the fuel economy while you drive.

Weaknesses:
The only thing I can think of, and this is pushing it, is that there is no room for change in the center console. I guess the gas mileage could be a little better. I have noticed it has improved a little since I got it, so I hope that continues. I average around 19 mpg, but I basically do all city driving.

Price Paid:  $24500.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 CRV-EX 4WD

Summary:
Excellent SUV! I just love it. Very quite and no noise at all. Ws looking between Toyota (V4 engine) to Honda CRV. I didn't like Toyota's shape as compared to aerodynamic shape Honda CRV 2008 model has. Also I hate the spare tire which show on the back of Toyota SUV's. The Honda's got rid of the spare tire from the back from 2007 and now it looks amazing. Above all the seats are excellent, no complains and It gives me 24MPG combined and on highway easily bewteen 28 and 30 MPG.

Strengths:
All. Good 6 CD changer Player. Btw FYI, it also plays MP3 files if you record it on a regular CD-R/CD-RW...that way you don't need an MP3 player...but ofcourse having AUX input is a plus!

The gear box is now at its regular spot near the dash on the right and not on the steering wheel anymore!

Weaknesses:
None so far. Except a little more horse power would have been great...but thats not a complain...since you don't notice the difference!

Nissan Sentra 2002.

Review 5 of 6

Price Paid:  $27148.00 from Honda at the avenues

Year / Model Reviewed:
2008 EX-L

Summary:
The main feature of this vehicle is reliability. Both past and predicted future reliability.
pros:
Great little 4 cylinder engine. Smooth, quite, and enough power. Cruise control works well but will provide a noticeable downshift on hills and large bridges. Appearance is excellent both inside and out. I like the ability to recline the rear seats. Ride is medium firm with predictable front wheel drive manners. Fairly fun to drive and comfortable enough for an all day trip. Good storage compartments. Pretty good gas mileage. I thought it would be a bit better. I get about 5MGP more than our other vehicle a Cadillac SRX. I hope it gets a little better over time. I think the size of the CR-V is perfect.
cons:
Top of the line dual-zone climate control is the worst I have ever experienced. If the outside temperature is juts slightly lower than your preferred setting you get hit with alternating blasts of too hot or too cold air. No real balance to the temperature. Rear seat passengers complain about temperature. I do not like the way the top of the line audio system sounds. Does not sound natural. Bass is strong but it sounds like a cheap table radio in the middle range. I was initially excited about having a iPod connection but I doubt I'll bother now.
Rear backup sensors not available as a factory option. Too bad as these are a great safety feature. You can get a backup camera with navigation system but it does not provide an alarm. You would have to look at the nav screen to see obstacles. This does not work if small children run behind the vehicle after you started to backup. I guess you could try to backup using only the backup camera but I expect that to be tricky. Top of the line CR-V missing features like automatic headlamp shutoff, front passenger electric seat controls, Homelink, power rear liftgate,

If the United Auto Workers would provide the level of craftsmanship and reliability on the vehicle they produce there would be no competition.
My wife loves this car. This is good since now I get the SRX. Thanks honey!

Strengths:
Excellent 4 cylinder engine. Perfect size. Predicted reliability. Resale value.

Weaknesses:
Automatic dual-zone climate control is poor. Price to feature ratio is pretty low. Need to offer additional features.
