Review 1 of 6

Price Paid:  $0.00 from came in new motorcoa

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 wx-c570

Summary:
this is garbage at its best.
1)The tape player function broke before a year
2)the CD function broke in a few months
3)the whole thing failed in 4 years

Strengths:
Sony name is now a cliche' If the put it in a new 500K motorcoach from Holiday Rambler it must be good?? right??? WRONG..it's crap

Weaknesses:
it's a SONY. The controls are awkward from the drivers side. The controls are too tiny to read. The unit is so poorly made I think it must be made in VietNam

Review 3 of 6

Price Paid:  $530.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 1997/Nissan

Summary:
The sound quality is ok. The CD player is a big pain is the A**!
I trashed my car speakers, so I had to spend some more money on changing those. Overall I think that my factory system can do better than that!!!!

Strengths:
Sound quality is ok. The CD player on mine has trouble grabbing the disc.
Supports power antennas.

Weaknesses:
CD Player has trouble grabbing the disc. Each time I eject a CD the engine just keeps going!!!!!! For about a minute. Trashed the speakers on my car.

Review 4 of 6

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Volvo 2000

Summary:
Paid $570. Just wanted to chip after reading the other 2 negative reviews. Bought last December - had no problems with it at all - sounds great, drives the speakers just fine, used the CD a ton and the tape player some. Strong radio reception (pulls in San Diego stations in Santa Barbara) - no real complaints at all. Plays old CD's, scratched CD's, cheap CD-R's.
Obviously not for everyone, but a decent, no nonsense double DIN unit.

Strengths:
Great sound, plays CD-R's, easy to use display not full of wildly flashing lights

Weaknesses:
No mute button

Volvo factory CD

Review 5 of 6

Summary:
I would not recommend buying this product or any other Sony product. I would also not recommend purchasing automotive audio equipment from any Sound Advise location. I make this recommendation to those who wish to minimize or eliminate the psychological stress and trama I have undergone during this head-unit shopping experience.

Strengths:
This head unit sounds great when it works properly. It also has a rotory volume control dial which I like.

Weaknesses:
The tape player component broke the first day I owned the unit. The Sound Advise store where I bought the product has been giving me the run-around but finally replaced it....with one which had a broken CD and Tape unit! (I tested it before I left the shop) Now I have my old unit back (with a broken tape player) and am still on hold at the store.
