Review 1 of 239

Price Paid:  $18000.00 from Clifton Lincoln-Merc

Summary:
I purchased my 2002 Mercury Cougar in December. I absoutley love it! I have it in Silver Frost and the interior is in medium graphite. The car drives so smooth and it''s really fast. Everyone is always complimenting me on the color, the speed the beauty of the car. I''ve had it for almost 3 months and so far so good no problems.

Strengths:
It has great features, like it gives you how many miles you can go without refilling the car with gas and the speed.

Weaknesses:
It does get alot of brake dust on the rims.

Review 3 of 239

Price Paid:  $21000.00 from santa monica lincoln

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Cougar v6

Summary:
The car gets only 14-16 miles per gallon in normal city driving which is what I do mostly. The EPA sticker said 20 mpg in town, a discrepancy of nearly 30%. I'm conservation oriented. The service dpt. has run checks which claim all is o. k. I feel ripped off and don't know what to do to remedy situation. Suggestions welcomed.

Weaknesses:

Review 4 of 239

Price Paid:  $21500.00 from Northwood Lincoln Me

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Mercury Cougar V6 C2

Summary:
Beautiful car, real head turner, made everyone at the office jealous. Great pick up in a straight line, cup holder problem seems to have been eliminated in 2001, the cup holder is solid as a rock and works great, never had a problem with the trunk.

Strengths:
Good acceleration, comfortable seating, made my first 1200 mile drive in it, would do it over and over again.

Weaknesses:
poor acceleration on a turn, not sure if that's a flaw with the traction control or what, but when doing a sharp right turn and hitting the pedal, there's barely any pick up.

2001 Ford Mustang

Review 5 of 239

Price Paid:  $12600.00

Summary:
This car provides a smooth ride. It handles quite nicely. Acceleration is sufficient. However, it seems a bit slow until you reach around 2900 rpm.after that you experience a nice kick. The gas mileage is great. I havehad no problems with the car. The interior is as nice as any. The seats are comfortable and contoured to fit like a glove. The foremost cupholder is designed for smaller cups; placing a larger one in them will cause minor grief. Overall, this is a lot of car for the money. I have had nothing but compliments from everyone that has seen and/or driven it.

Strengths:
Handling. Gas mileage. Appearance (interior and exterior). Affordability.

Weaknesses:
A bit sluggish under 2900 rpm.
