Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $16000.00 from DriveTime

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Daewoo/ Leganza

Summary:
I have this car since Dec. of 2002 with only one hundred and seventy two )172) miles and I have never had any major problems with the car. I had two problems with the car was the Power windows motor going out on both sides of the back windows that's because we never let down the back windows and we did the windows was stuck in the rubber that keeps water out. It still has it warranty and now I have 27,000 miles. I have had the car checked out by the dealer. Kia in Texas does all the maintenance here. they are the ones who bought out daewoo. that is what I was told but that is the only problems that I have had since I had the car. The car is still running strong and and everything works. I love my car I do the services on it like clockwise. Sometimes I forget to change the oil that's typical.

Strengths:
Strong paint no peeling. It's a silver bullet no rust no nothing.

Weaknesses:
Hard to change the side lights in front.

Strengths:
Styling. Looks pretty good for a cheap car. Ergonomics are excellent too.

Weaknesses:
Parts availablity ? The interior seems cheap but I expect to much.

Review 3 of 5

Price Paid:  $44000.00 from GM Daewoo

Summary:
Read so much about unavailablity of spare parts for the Daewoo Laganza in USA and lots of complaints about the dealers and workshop. I know that Daewoo had been bought over by General Motor (GM) and they are now called GM-Daewoo. In Singapore, GM-Daewoo spent 2 months and SGD 300,000 to revamp the whole showroom. That is the kind of money and confidence GM has on Daewoo Cars. I am total HAPPY with my Laganza. In fact, I am so happy that I bought a second car within 3 years! This car is everything a luxury car has, less the price tag. Cars in Singapore are expensive, no matter which model, due to government levy. Here in Singapore, I have no problems at all getting any spare parts I wanted. If you need any spare parts, I'd be happy to ship them to you. You can write to me at tanboonpiang@hotmail.com Just let me know what you need with some decriptions of the item. I am doing this to win back some smiles from unhappy drivers because I like this car a lot.

Strengths:
very stable, good looking car body, good milege.

Weaknesses:
a wee bit noisy when traveling above 65mph. The noise is from the road and korean tyres. I changed the tyres on my 1st car and the noise went down.

Review 4 of 5

Price Paid:  $15999.00 from Otto

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Leganza SE

Summary:
When I bought my car I couldn't believe the options! I"m a little concerned about the bankrupcy. My son had a slight head on and the right headlight support was broken and I've been waiting 6 months for a replacement. I only have 18000 miles but fear, after reading some reviews, I'll be stuck with a car I have to pay to get rid of. My hope is another manufacturer will pick this up and save us all!

Strengths:
Options are exceptional for the price. Has some get up and go for a 4 cyl.

Weaknesses:
fuse panel

Similar Products Used:
none

Review 5 of 5

Price Paid:  $12500.00 from Ingram Park Chrysler

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Laganza

Summary:
Have problems that seem to go with this vehicle. Fuse box cover, hot key, noisy engine, soft brake pedal, air bag trouble light... Dealer said no problem noted. I believe that we Daewood owners should refrain from buying Daewoo electronic equipment if they do not honor our warranties. I will let all my friends know that I have not been treated right by Daewoo of America. I will also tell all my friends that I bought the Daewoo at the Ingram Park Chrysler dealer here in San Antonio so they will know what could happen to them if they purchase a vehicle from IPAC.

Strengths:
Handles very good, good gas milage (31 MPG highway)

Weaknesses:
Uncomfortable seat

Similar Products Used:
None, had a Chrysler LHS before.
