Review 1 of 22

Price Paid:  $54000.00 from Orland Lexus

Year / Model Reviewed:
2004 GS430

Summary:
My GS has a lot of raw power...extremely nice appointments. I had to replace tires after 7000 miles, road noise wasa extreme. Tried to get dealer to explain why new tires so fast, nothing but silence from them. When I put on new tires had alignment checked and 3 of the 4 wheels were out of alignment?

Strengths:
Solidly built car...with all the power I would want.

Weaknesses:
Levison sound/radio is very poor. Road noise is extreme

Review 2 of 22

Price Paid:  $51111.00 from Lexus of Pleasanton

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Lexus GS 430

Summary:
I had decided no more Japanese cars that was until I saw the GS 430. I was pretty set on buying the BMW 540. After looking at features like price, performance, reliability, customer satisfaction my mind was made up. And this was one of the best purchases I had ever made. This car is awesome; strong acceleration and the brakes are excellent (almost as good as on my 98 911). The quality of build is very high and the interior is well designed and comfortable. The Navigation system is easy to use and very accurate and worth the price. And the Mark Levinson is out of this world. Well I never thought I would ever buy a Lexus, but I am extremely glad I did. My friends who drive Mercedes envy me. They paid more and got less than I did.

Strengths:
Acceleration, braking, build quality, interior and exterior design, and too many other features like auto lights, engine sound

Weaknesses:
suspension a little too soft, more wind noise than I expected. That''s it.

Review 4 of 22

Price Paid:  $50000.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 /GS430

Summary:
I thought I would never drive a Lexus until I bought my GS430. It's powerful, quiet and comfortable. The signature Lexus service is awsome. I still have a BMW 540i, X5 3.0 and an Audi A4 2.8 Quatro in my garge, and I like my GS the most. By the way, the insurance permium on the GS is unexpected low too.

Strengths:
Powerful, quite, comfortable. Best car and value in its class.

Weaknesses:
Averages 20 mpg, a bit noisy from the low profile tires, some wind noise (I thought Lexus is meticulous about the wind noise). Ugly plastic buttons.

Similar Products Used:
Better value than BMW. Much, much, much better than Audi. Service quality is impeccable.

Review 5 of 22

Price Paid:  $52000.00

Summary:
I would definately NOT recommend this car, due to its horrendous reliablilty and make-shift quality

Strengths:
Strong Engine, Comfy Seats

Weaknesses:
AWFUL reliability, the thing has been back to the dealer 12 times! Pieces break off for no reason, the interior plastics are some of the worst I've EVER seen. Transmission over-revs and waits an eternity to upshift. Gas mileage is horrible too
