Price Paid:  $226.00 from coldairintakedirect.

Year / Model Reviewed:
1998 Eagle Talon

Summary:
at first a was i bit doubtful with this product because i dont think their is a difference between typical cone type racing filter and a cold air intake filter. When i got this cold air intake, i noticed a gain when i stepped on the accelerator. cold air means more horsepower, so having this cold air intake system indeed gave my car a huge pulling power. its indded a bung for the buck product.

heres a link of the online shop that gave me the best deal. for the convinience of other users.
http://www.coldairintakedirect.com/makes/eagle.html

Strengths:
colder air to the manifold give more horsepower to the engine

Weaknesses:
flooded roads. it has more chances to suck water on flooder roads since the filter is located on the lower part of the car beside the bumpers

Review 2 of 38

Price Paid:  $115.00 from jcwhitney.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
1995 Mitsu Eclipse RS

Summary:
Great bang for the buck. Increased horsepower and torque as well as mpg.

Strengths:
After adding the cold air intake i was able to easily take on a 96 camaro rs and destroy it in a street drag. Well worth the 115 i spent on it.

Weaknesses:
If you got a lead foot and want to improve gas mpg this won't help much. If you can keep your foot out of it you can easily gain 1-2 mpg.

Review 3 of 38

Price Paid:  $215.00 from Howell Automotive

Year / Model Reviewed:
1995 Plymouth Neon Sport Coupe

Summary:
Big difference in mid to upper range rpms. I belive there was a 5-10 hp gain.

Strengths:
Sounds more aggressive, performance a good 15% better than the stock airbox

Weaknesses:
Got Cruise Control? Then tack on 2 extra hours for installation. There is no good place to relocate the cruise module. The instructions did not address this.

Similar Products Used:
Howell Automotive rocks. Tired of the fogged over, yellow b.s. stock headlights? Try howell "krystal Kleers" for appearance and practicality.

Review 5 of 38

Price Paid:  $180.00 from Impactparts.com

Year / Model Reviewed:
1999 IceMan Cold Air 99 Neon R/T

Summary:
This was the best upgrade to my Neon R/T. It was very noticeable acceleration gains from the get go. The engine tone along with an exhaust change makes the car sound great. No whinny blender noise. Just a deep throaty sound, like an import V8. Car is definitely quicker. Highly recommened and worth the time and money. Don't buy cheap E-Bay knock-offs.

Strengths:
Instant speed gains. Less plastic stock crap under hood. Your engine can be better dressed up now mainly cuase you can see it!

Weaknesses:
Very low to ground (in order to get cold air). Have to shut engine off and coast through very large and deep puddles.

Similar Products Used:
K&N stock replacement
