Price Paid:  $150.00 from Sears

Year / Model Reviewed:
 CM720K

Summary:
For the price paid, this model is a hit! It sounds great and has 30 presets. The detachable faceplate is a bit flashy for my taste but the graphic equalizer adds pizazz. It''s not XM ready and it doesn''t light when you turn on the dash lights. But it does satisfy my ear for now, and that''s what counts. If you''ve outgrown your teens and don''t plan on shattering any eardrums with this stereo, you can''t go wrong.

Strengths:
• Plays CDrs even though they don''t advertise it. • Has many features—mute, loudness, two pairs of pre-outs, 7 EQ settings, including two programmable ones. • You don''t have to eject a tape or CD to switch to the tuner. Better yet, it will remember where you left off on the tape/CD when you restart the vehicle. • 200 watts of power—that enough for all but those going deaf.

Weaknesses:
Sensitive to quality of disk. If you use a scratched disk or a cheap CD-R it will skip. A clean burn or a good CD will work fine without skipping. But you have to give it at least a week to break in according to Jensen
