Review 5 of 5 Summary: This is the greatest cassette deck I have ever owned! I had an Alpine in a Jeep 10 years ago and it was great. When I traded it in I got a Mitsu with an infinity sound system which was okay, but this Alpine had made driving an absolute joy! The controls are fantastic, the sound is very clear at the highest of volumes. The Ai net is awsome because I also have an Alpine CHA-1214 CD changer in the back which I also highly recommend. The display is very clear although during the day the sun's glare can complicate things. My only real knock on it is the speed of the rewind and fast forwarding mechanisms. They could be faster considering my old Alpine deck was faster. Other than that, this is a great deck for anyone with a little extra money. It retails for about $230 to $280 depending on where you get it. I got it for $166.00 new (employee deal). It really adds a lot to a car, and complimenting it with an Alpine CD changer will really complete your audio system. Strengths: 2 pre-outs, Ai net technology, MaxTune tuner, remote control, station title memory, powerful, great ergonomics, clear display Weaknesses: Rewind and Fast forward could be a little faster, the display could use an anti-glare covering or coating Similar Products Used: Infinity - The Alpine blows it away
