Review 2 of 31

Price Paid:  $350.00 from Best Buy

Year / Model Reviewed:
1999 Pioneer DEH-P9200R

Summary:
I've owned alot of aftermarket cd head units, and this is by far the best. I've had this unit for 6 year without any problems. All my previous units only lasted about 2 years. It's a great product and I hope the current model (DEH-P9600MP) is just as good.

Strengths:
Alot of control over the sound. It has a high-pass filter, low-pass filter, FIE with selectable range, sub control with selectable range and level control. Too many other features to mention. Awsome display.

Weaknesses:
As far as sound, It rocks, but the motor for the faceplate goes bad after several years but that can be expected. Had it 6 Years before it went bad.

Similar Products Used:
A bunch of other head units that I can't remember the model #'s to because they were crap. Just purchased the Pioneer Premier DEH-960MP to replace the 9200R.

Review 3 of 31

Price Paid:  $420.00 from ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
1990 blazer

Summary:
This HU is absolutely one of the BEST ones out there. i've had mine for years. there are lots of options and the display is gorgeous.easy to learn and easily rivals the top brands such as clarion and alpine but for less than half the price now.

Strengths:
has 3 band eq (but if you're smart you'll be able to find the additional 3 eq for each of the previous eq's which makes this baby very customizable. total of about 9 eq's plus another 3 for strength ((which is differ than frequency)) which adds up to be orund 12 eq's!!!!!)

Weaknesses:
the glar from sunlight is a bit annoying. but that's bout it.

Similar Products Used:
none after i bought this one i never had to upgrade again!!!!!

Review 4 of 31

Price Paid:  $37.00 from Best Buy

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Deh-p9200r

Summary:
I got this beauty at Best Buy in Framingham as an "open box" item. It was in the yellow display car in the car audio department. I got a price from the associate then went to the manager who said he "wanted the product gone like last week". I was so happy when i got it. The product has never stopped working for me. It has one of the best displays around and has a very clean eq system. Absolutely a "best buy" !!!!!!

Strengths:
display eq ease of use connectivity

Weaknesses:
not able to upload new "screen savers" onto this model as you can in the sister unit (deh-p9300)

Similar Products Used:
i have had almost every radio out there from RF, sony, kenwood, nakamichi, the pioneer has the most sound for power consumption, i believe
