Price Paid:  $45.00 from pawn shop ( demseys)

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 kdc-x815

Summary:
this has been a very good deck so far I don't know when it was released, but a high estimate would be 4 years ago and for that age and probability of use it has been a very good buy, skips a little on pretty messed up cd's but has; I believe been the best deck purchased out of around 20 decks purchased over the years from this perticular pawn shop. a 10 out of 10 for its age and style. but need to upgrade to a newer one if anyone wants to purchase it I will make a good fair deal, trade or fair deal of any sort really. call me at (406)314-0393, but to tell the truth it will probably be traded in to a pawn shop if not reached very soon, but I do have other kenwood equip. since I had not a place to pit put pat whatever dangit I va can't just finnish this and go just do it jack finnish with the what was su.....stopping >??***!!!!!finally what should have been an hour ago here it is flthd25@yahoo.com. I really hope this reaches thought of letter in a bottle crossing the ocean paradigm simply..somone and I;m serius if I get an interesting reply of negative or positive feedback on this stupid ok im done,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Strengths:
the laser must be prime a+ because it plays scrached discs well. I also really like that it has a built in crossover I would have blown my front, and rear speakers because I push my subs hard, can turn the volume all the way up and really put most any sub to the test, I had a similar alpine that sold for quite a bit more, same type options w/crossover and could not blow my subs for any bass option I played with, but I did end up blowing a very good memphis 12 with this kenwood with my gain less than halfway up because I turned up the nf lp level too high on the excelon, opps I was in a altered state of mind, or possibly it was due to hitting a good size 4by obstacle at too high of a speed and shorted it somehow (1 of the 2 blew, seized up actually) then lost the other 12 due to bad karma...rambling on...nobody will probably even read this, because really how many people look for info on this deck and stumble upon this site as I did, maybe somone could email me and prove me wrong if they do read my boredome inspired of...but actually pretty fun way to waste a sunday, anyway back to strenghths...ok mentioned the possibility of blowing high grade speakers ( forgot to mention the alpine which I thought was going to be the best deck I ever owned, with the fancy options, adjustable
.........for anyone which there will be a reward if my pessimistic attitude of everything about this letter except the firs part somewhat sane to the eventual point back to the point now that i typthought about it a reward for anyone that can muster the patience and mud tthrough got to finnish not matter of athe ereerrs just crup gut to the point, heres whats in it for someone/s if there is a decent good deserving interested reply I will surprise with a fair reward that will pay a good (negotiably, not a clue yet)shake for how much honestly you understood and wiknodec if someone gets the crazy state of mind im in I will also tell a promise guarenteed intriguing story,of earlier crazines

Weaknesses:
other than its outdated and doesnt play mp3 nothing it was top of the line or close to it when it was released, the alpine I mentioned earlier was probably rated better, and more expensive because it was very fancy, but I went thru 2 of the same deck one the motorized face quit working and the other the laser was crap, actually on both of them read error on most cd's after little use got worse and worse as time went on, possibly reading burned cd's the cause because that is 95% of what I play, I really don't know, seemed to have less of a problem with original cd's but eventually those wouldn't read either, well anyway the point was that the kenwood has a good laser and reads all my burned cd's, very durable best i've ever happened to hold onto long enough to put it (durability) to the test go thru decks faster than I go thru ciggies, going to quit ( that will be the proof that you not likely have taken enough wasted maybe not , could be good for the unlikeluckydog that proves he read this and emails me a short letter telling me what you though of my what I already know is crazy mostly guess of 25% at most useful time management, but hey on the other hand I might be out gambling and possibly losing more than I can afford instead of this ( can't make up my mind, well I've decided even if this review is (most likely proof read by some sort of a editor and rejected because it's not right at all but mayby the first half of my review will make it stick and not get rejected, the only rule I think I stuck to I mind you kind sir of an authority if you are reading this or even got this far I think this review of yaaaaaaaa stat of emergency almost in the near past but made it good, I can explain that sentence to anyone that reminds me of it if you are interested in something crazy (on a quick.well attempt to interest anyone in my one of a kind well I will go with my first though thatrunning out of space so i will end and hope that this does somesortofgood pen pal or business

Review 3 of 40

Price Paid:  $400.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000 KDC X815

Summary:
I bought mine right when they came out, and I think it must make a difference because I'm the only one on here that hasn't had a single issue. I've never had any skipping issues (other than the occasional pothole) and not a sigle part failure. I push the stereo hard too, as it's the center peice to a 3500 watt system (it's responcible for driving my tweeters, everything else is powered off of Kenwood Excellon Amps). Also, I've influenced many other people to buy the same head unit, and I've never heard of anyone having any issues.

Strengths:
Completely adujustable clarity/quality, 3 Pre AMP's, easy installation, great documentation (it's a novel), plays burned CD's like a champ

Weaknesses:
No face plate to fit my stock location (1998 Nissan 240SX SE), no MP3 (this was a new technology at the time, but for 400 bucks I think they coulda/shoulda squeezed MP3 playback in)

Similar Products Used:
Sony, Pioneer, JVC, like them, but not as much.

Review 4 of 40

Price Paid:  $400.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2002 KDC-X815

Summary:
This radio has disapointed me. Worked fine for the first month or two then the radio would cut out then come back on a few minutes later. After a month of this problem, now the stereo won't even turn on. Tried re-installing, reset,etc.... Don't waste your money on this deck!

Strengths:
Lots of features. Good Power and Clarity

Weaknesses:
Doesn't last long
