Review 1 of 55

Price Paid:  $4700.00 from dccu

Year / Model Reviewed:
2001 jaguar xjr

Summary:
I have had a warning light that shows ABS and traction control inop, took to Jaguar dealer, due to cost of repair they sent an adjuster out to look at car, because the light was not on at that time they denied claim. The dealership ran a diagnostic test on it that shows the system to be inop. Mercury Insurance is making me take my superchared sports car to drive with no ABS because they said they can't see the light on. Once it showed it was erased at dealership. I feel that they are sending me out to drive a car that is not safe.

Strengths:
NONE

Weaknesses:
Wont cover claims

Review 2 of 55

Price Paid:  $1200.00 from Right Choice Credit

Year / Model Reviewed:
2007 F-250

Summary:
I purchased a Mercury Extended Warranty Policy, (100,000 miles) from the Credit Union that financed my truck. Mercury Warranty cancelled my policy on the first claim at 40,000 miles. The A/C stopped working, problem with the compressor. The truck is a four wheel drive; I added a level kit on the truck, 2 1/2 inches with 3" taller tire. The inspector that came to the Ford Dealer to inspect the compressor cancelled my policy before even looking at the problem. His reason is because of the tires. No one at Mercury notified me that they had cancelled the policy. The dealer where the repair is to be done notified me after the truck sat there for three day’s. The dealer wanting to know if they should proceed with the repair. This is when I found out my policy was cancelled. The repair cost me $1,274.57. My suggestion is, Stick with the manufacturer extended warranty! These folks are a joke! Here's the real kicker, you can't even get your money back! Your premium is sent back to the financial institution and paid against the principle balance. You’re stuck with the bill! Think twice before dealing with this Company!

Strengths:
Can't realy think of one. Bad experance
with frist claim.

Weaknesses:
No customer service at all! No one will awnser the phone. waited 30 minutes to speak to a person.

Similar Products Used:
Toyota Extend Warranty Excellent product. Ford Warranty Excellent.

Review 3 of 55

Price Paid:  $0.00

Year / Model Reviewed:
2002 Murcury Insurance

Summary:
Mercury Ins. may have lower prices, but service is very bad by 'customer service'. They don't have a national center for service like other companys do. When you buy a car on the weekend especially a long holiday weekend you cannot get it insured because the local agent is the only one who can change it. THEY DON'T ANSWER THE PHONE ON WEEKENDS, SO FORGET ABOUT GETTING IT COVERED UNTIL BUSINESS DAY! My new car has to sit in the garage until Wednesday bacause of lack of service. My NEW company, AAA ins. does have a national center that can add a car to your policy on the weekend.
