Review 1 of 9

Price Paid:  $75.00 from Used

Year / Model Reviewed:
2006 Alpine MRV-F307

Summary:
So I bought this off a buddy of mine for $75 with a Pioneer 15" in a box. The Pioneer sub leaves a lot to be desired, it isn't so aesthtically pleasing and the box has a lot of left over glue on the outside. This is fine considering my car is a 1997 Jetta GL Automatic and doesn't look so hot itself.

The Amp has some rusting on the bottom but still works. There are some quams that I'm hoping maybe someone can help me out with. I have it bridged on 1/2 with my factory speakers going on the HU. I will be replacing the speakers as I have blown every single one since I bought this sub/amp.

The sub is just not pounding the way I wanted. I think that maybe this amp is better for powering a couple sets of speakers. I just read one review though that said he is running 2 12" subs off of this amp which makes me wonder what is wrong with my system.

Strengths:
Works, is name brand. Pumps the beats but not as much as I want.

Can't beat my price of $75 for an alpine amp/pioneer 15". And that's Canadian dollars.

Weaknesses:
Bass sound isn't what I expected, but that is most likely my fault, not this AMPS.

Amp runs very hot in my trunk.

Similar Products Used:
None. This is my first Amp for my car.

Review 2 of 9

Price Paid:  $275.00 from Good Guys

Year / Model Reviewed:
2000 Alpine V-12 MRV-307

Summary:
I bought this amp several years ago to power two 12" JL subs. I installed a 1/2 farad Monster Cap to balance the peak demands, and this amp has great performance. With a 50wx4 Pioneer deck powering only the door speakers the JL's get all the bridged power. I have the gain set only at half the maximum, and the bass moves the hair on my head. Crisp, clean, beep bass after 6 years.

Strengths:
Small unit, more than enough bridged power for the JL subs

Weaknesses:
none yet

Review 3 of 9

Price Paid:  $90.00 from used at ebay

Year / Model Reviewed:
 alpine mrv-f307

Summary:
i have had this amp for a year and a half. i have it pushing my polk/momo 5 1/4's in front and pioneer 6x9's in the rear of a 94 caddy seville sts this amp is way underrated it replaced my rockford 30.2 model because i wanted to be able to controll all my speakers something the 2 channel was not capable of doing the gain is half way and the mids and highs it reproduces are astounding. it complements my hifonics brutus amp perfectly.

Strengths:
underrated 30x4,great price for a used model

Weaknesses:
none

Similar Products Used:
pioneer,mtx,rockford

Review 4 of 9

Price Paid:  $270.00 from Halfords

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2001

Summary:
Very good amp for powering components and mids. I personally couldn''t get it to power a sony x-plod 10" sub with any real oomph. I am using it to power a set of focal 135Ks and it does this exceedingly well, also a set of infinty 502s in the back giving good rear fill.

Strengths:
quality, peace of mind.

Weaknesses:
couldnt get it to power a sub. Might not be the amps fault.

Review 5 of 9

Price Paid:  $160.00 from CEL-DIRECT.CO.UK

Year / Model Reviewed:
 MRV-307

Summary:
I am very impressed with this amp. It''s powering some Boston Acoustic FX4''s in my dash, and some Magnat mids in my front doors. I was pleasently surprised with the ability to power 4 channels from 2 RCA inputs, eliminating the need for y-splitters. The crossovers are v.effective and the sound quality is superb. Also, the figures they state are underrated, eg. 30RMS = (on mine) 39RMS. Im a very happy person.

Strengths:
Underrated power, clear, clean sound, does,nt get hot, no need for y-adaptors, i could go on forever!

Weaknesses:
NONE.
