Review 2 of 33

Price Paid:  $275.00 from Circuit City

Year / Model Reviewed:
 Mtx Thunder 500D

Summary:
By looking at the size alone, you would never be able to tell how bangin this lil' fella really is! I ran it to 2 12" Polk EX3 GNX Series speakers, and literally tore the rubber lining off of my subs. I don't know if the speakers were just cheap, but I'm almost positive its the amp. I now have 4 12" MTX Thunder 8000 T8124A speakers, with two of these amps, and I don't think it gets any better than this. If you want hard-hittin bass like me, than this amp is top of the line. And it's cheap too!

Strengths:
Great price! Love the look on friends' faces when they laugh at the size...then pass out from the sound! HaHaHa

Weaknesses:
Does get hot pretty quickly, but it's a small price to pay for a great product. Oh yeah, and don't buy from Circuit City, their return policy does suck. I am still trying to get back my money for the torn Polk speakers.

Similar Products Used:
None, this is all I need.

Review 3 of 33

Price Paid:  $411.00 from Traffic Jams

Year / Model Reviewed:
 2000 MTX Thunder 500D

Summary:
This little booger is a dream come true! It makes my 3 MTX Thunder 6000 8 ohm subs hit like a nuclear explosion! If you want a WHOLE LOT of BanG for you buck, this is a keeper! It blew both voice coils out of an 800 watt Fosgate Punch DVC.

Strengths:
Stays cold no matter how long I keep the volume up. Severly UNDER-rated power wise. Efficient! Barely dims my lights. Not just paying for a name.

Weaknesses:
Makes other amps look bad! Wait a minute? That''s a good thing!

Similar Products Used:
Jensen 300 watt, Percision Audio 700 watt

No EQ,Freq setting on the amp.
